CAMILA VALENZUELA MOGUILLANSKY

My research focuses on the study of experience. Particularly, exploring the sense of bodily self and the relationship between body awareness and pain. The nature of these phenomena has lead me to take an transdisciplinary approach that integrates methodologies from the cognitive science, phenomenology, body practices and the arts. I also work in the development of Micro-phenomenology, discipline that deals with the methodological and epistemological challenges that the study of experience entails. Currently I am associate researcher at the  Centro  de Estudios de Argumentación y Razonamiento (CEAR) of the  Universidad Diego Portales in Chile.

Camila Valenzuela Moguillansky is a Chilean researcher studying the sense of bodily self, particularly exploring the relationship between body awareness and pain, using methodologies from neuroscience, phenomenology and body practices. She is also very much interested on the methodological and epistemological challenges that the study of experience entails.
